Calisthenics Facility at Rudolf-Hoffmann-Platz in Ludwigshafen

As part of the redesign of Rudolf-Hoffmann-Platz in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, a freely accessible calisthenics facility was created for bodyweight training. A distinctive feature is the circular safety flooring area, which clearly contrasts with the surrounding pathway surface and visually defines the training area. REGUPOL playfix FX safety flooring in blue provides the required fall protection.

Training Options
The calisthenics facility offers training options for different age groups and fitness levels. The equipment can be used for pull-ups, support exercises and balance exercises. It is arranged within the circular area to create an open and clearly structured training environment, with short distances between the individual stations.

Maximum Fall Heights
The safety flooring was adapted to the respective equipment heights. Depending on the height, safety tiles for maximum fall heights of up to 3.00 m or up to 1.50 m were installed. In total, around 147 m² of safety tiles were laid.

Tested Quality
REGUPOL playfix FX (EPDM) was used for the project. The safety tiles comply with the requirements of DIN EN 1177 and are suitable for heavily used activity areas.
