Accessible Playground in Berlin

A new REGUPOL play area was installed on Gallwitzallee in Steglitz-Zehlendorf, Berlin (Germany). Covering 255.67 m², the project combines REGUPOL safety flooring with multifunctional sports flooring to create an accessible playground for play, sport and recreation.

The play area was designed for people of different ages and mobility needs. A range of play equipment, a table tennis table and a multifunctional sports court provide space for play, sport and recreation. The accessible layout allows children, teenagers, adults and people with limited mobility to use the entire area comfortably.

The facility also stands out visually. The colour combination of red, bright red, and beige creates a vibrant yet harmonious overall appearance that combines functionality with attractive design. A carefully selected combination of safety flooring and multi-purpose sports surface was installed. While REGUPOL playfix fun provides safety and reduces the risk of injury, REGUPOL multicourt DLX delivers excellent playing characteristics for a wide range of ball games and movement activities.

The seamless safety flooring was installed on site to create a smooth, accessible play surface. The level finish allows wheelchair users and people with strollers to move around the area with ease, while the durable surface meets the requirements of modern, inclusive play spaces.

This project demonstrates how high-quality surfacing solutions and thoughtful planning can work together. The result is a versatile, safe play and activity area that significantly enhances the public space in Steglitz-Zehlendorf and is open to children, families, and sports enthusiasts alike.
